When you’re mixing or mastering music, sometimes you may find yourself in a situation where you need to manipulate the audio in a way that falls outside the realms of what a conventional plugin can do, and with this in mind, SoundSpot set out to create a plugin that can solve this problem.
 
Introducing the Axis... The Axis is a combination of two of their most popular plugins, the MSW1 & Propane with the addition of a brand new upwards and downwards compressor that is capable of dual directional compression which can be both subtle and brutal. But it doesn’t end there! SoundSpot have made the whole unit multiband, for complete control over the incoming signal, allowing you to manipulate the audio to get punch, clarity, groove or sparkle without the need to load up a huge number of individual plugins.

The Axis linear phase has been made to be lightweight, so go wild... The only limit is your imagination.

Compressor Module

Compression is a key element to giving your music that professional sound, and each Axis compression module comes loaded with features to do just that. 

The most significant feature on the compression modules is the downward and upward compression parameter, that can add life to a dull mix, or make a snare drum snap through the mix. 

Imager Module

Good imaging makes all the difference in taking your music to the next level. By giving musical elements space to breath, the mix will instantly sound clearer and less fatiguing the listener. 

The Axis imager module is loaded with features that allow you to manipulate the audio positioning in ways that no other singular plugin can do. 

Metering Module

Gain staging is an important aspect in achieving a well balanced mix, so the Axis features it’s own per band dedicated metering and gain levelling module. The module also includes an RMS meter, so you can check your perceived loudness at a glance. 

Band Isolation

The band isolation parameters allow you to cut the signal to other bands that you are not working with. This is useful when you need to tune your settings on a band as all other signals will mute. 

Band Bypass

Each module has a band bypass function, which allows you to switch between the original and affected signal. This is useful when doing A/B comparisons, and can be especially useful to check your edits in context to the whole mix. 

New Preset Manager

 A preset manager that allows you to switch between presets with a click is now included.

Specification Requirements:

• RAM: 8 GB RAM or more is recommended. Plus at least 8 GB hard disk space for installation.
• Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 X2 or newer.
• Formats: In theory any 32 or 64-bit VST, VST3, AU, or AAX compatible host application should work.
• Licensing: Internet access for activating licence key. Please ensure any outgoing connection blockers are deactivated.
• Sample Rates: Supported sample rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz, in both mono and stereo.
