Perfect Room

How would your music sound in a perfect room?

Classic algorithmic reverb plugins use a combination of short feedbacking delays to create the illusion of reverberation. These delays cause unwanted metallic resonances and sharp spikes in the reverb’s frequency response. The denise team challenged themselves to create something better - a perfect room - and invented their TXVerb™ technology. Using this technology, the denise Perfect Room doesn’t use delays for the tail and will enhance the character and colouration of any audio you run through it in an extremely natural way, sounding defined and tight from the lowest kick all the way up to the highest vocal.

Bad Tape

denise like to describe Bad Tape as a tape harming (#tapeharm) effect plugin. Its focus is on creating extreme tape artifacts... and man does it sound bad. The inspiration for the Bad Tape came from denise team member Enrico 'nrec' Tiberi: “I was using a lot of my old Akai 4000 DS MK2 reel to reel tape recorder pressing the tape to slow it down as an effect and that made me want a plugin that could control how to break the sound without having to use my fingers each time and without all the cables and fuss that analog hardware inevitably brings”.

The Sweeper

Shape Your Sound

The Sweeper plugin is a dynamic envelope following filter with sidechain input. The plugin works by responding to a received input, either directly or via the sidechain, and moving a low pass filter or high pass filter to the shape of that input. This gives the plugin incredible flexibility and a broad range of uses, whether that’s with generating effects, or being used more precisely as a mixing tool. The plugin is suitable as a more natural-sounding and precise alternative to sidechain compression, for example.

Noize 2

The real question is: when NOT to use Noize 2?

Noise is a secret weapon used by many professional producers to enhance and flavour their tracks noise generation to the next level. For example by making digital samples and synths sound more natural, adding grit and power to bass-synths, leads and paths, and adding character and sustain to drums and beats.

The Noize 2.0 introduces three new noise types and the option to load and edit your own noise profiles - features that have often been requested by the community and when denise actually tested the plugin, it turned out even more creative and versatile than they could anticipate...

Noize Retro

Limited Edition Noize

The Noize Retro is a limited edition version of the Noize plugin that features one unique adaptive noise type modelled after the noise produced by old-school Retro system boards, used for many popular Retro games since the 70s. The noise generated by Noize Retro sounds dark and gritty and has a lot more character than regular noise types like white noise. Space Invader

Fresh and creative flanging!

The denise Space Invader is a versatile flanger you can sync to your host project, allowing you to to create rhythmical host-synced flanging effects or precisely timed risers that span multiple bars. When in sync-mode you can set the flanging speed from 1/32-bar to 32-bars, including strange, triplet and dotted feel. When not in sync mode you can set the flanging speed in hertz and use the trigger-button to reset the flanger’s internal lfo, allowing you to control the flanger’s start point using automation. In addition, you can choose between three different lfo shapes, and have the option to introduce flutter and a 90 degrees LFO offset for a wide stereo effect.

New York Compressor

NY Compression

The Denise New York Compressor is a straightforward NY-style compressor for making percussive loops, beats and drums sound more powerful. Set to its default settings, you can quickly dial in the recognizable explosive and punchy sound associated with this particular style of compression. But the Denise New York Compressor has a trick up its sleeve: a continuous RMS-time control. Usually, generic compressors only give you the choice between peak and RMS set to a fixed length of 30ms. However, having a continuous RMS-time control, allows you to easily fine tune the compression to create maximal impact. Together with its different timbre styles, vintage option and stereo linking, the Denise New York Compressor is a powerful tool to quickly give your mix that much sought-after explosive and punchy sound.

Transient Booster

Transients for your Tracks

The Denise Transient Booster is a simple but flexible plugin for boosting the transients in your tracks. Set to its default settings, you can use the plugin as a straightforward "one-knob" style tool to bring to life drum-beats, percussion loops and synth stabs. However, the continuous attack and release controls allow you to set the width of the transients you want to target, as well as smooth out any artifacts in case of more extreme use on bus-groups or full mixes. Together with its different timbre styles, and built-in limiter and stereo-link options, the Denise Transient Booster is a versatile tool to boost transients, with minimal CPU load.
