WaveOSC
Discover Wavetable Synthesis
Wavetable synthesis pushes beyond the boundaries of traditional synthesis, with a technique that can create rich and deep sounds in seconds.
Introducing: WaveOSC
By generating sound from snapshots of audio waveforms, wavetables create harmonically rich sounds that can then be tweaked, blended and morphed to produce anything from simple, powerful sounds to complex, evolving textures.
Synthesise Sounds Instantly
WaveOSC puts the power of wavetable synthesis behind one single click. Featuring two standard oscillators and one wavetable oscillator, the third oscillator can instantly generate sonic wavetables from the output of oscillators 1 & 2, and features its own wavetable window where you can scan through wavetable sets to customise them. Unlink the left and right channel wavetables to set their positions independently, then modulate them to create instant organic sounds with stereo movement.
Oscillators 1 & 2 are analogue-style sound generators with subtractive synthesis capabilities. Offering 7 different wave shapes to choose from as the sound source (Sine, Square, Saw, Triangle, Noise, Organ, or Metallic), you can then filter the frequencies, adjust the pitch, set the voicing and dial in the envelope settings for each oscillator. These oscillators even includes their own set of effects so you can apply Phaser, Distortion, Delay & Reverb to them.
All WaveOSC oscillators also feature an independent filter per oscillator and a unison engine that can run up to 96 voices (32 voices per oscillator) in a single note play.
Innovative & Intuitive Modulation
WaveOSC oscillators each include their own dedicated ADSR volume envelope, MOD ADSR modulation envelope and LFOs for adding movement to parameters. The intuitive drag-and-drop modulation system allows you to quickly create rich and compelling sounds by assigning any parameter to these modulation envelopes and LFOs.
Parameters for each OSC that can be modulated include cutoff, resonance, detune, blend, mid/side, pan and level.
9 Onboard Master Effects
After the oscillators come the effects. As well as the oscillators having a set of their own effects, WaveOSC comes fully equipped with a master FX rack that contains 9 professional quality processing effects. Here, you can take your raw sound and design it further with creative and experimental possibilities, or just add the finishing touch to your sound to get it working with your track and sitting comfortably in the mix.
The full set of effects includes a Compressor, 4 Band Parametric EQ, Distortion, Delay, Phaser, Chorus, Filter, Flanger, and Reverb - each effect expands into a full module so you can fine-tune the details. The effects chain also features 4 LFOs that can be assigned to any parameter and each includes a retrigger mode so they can even be used like a conventional ADSR envelope for complete control over the modulation behaviour.
The Global Controls
The finishing touches to your sound and the performance of the synth can be customised through the global controls. Adjust the portamento of the synth using the Glide control and set the Velocity range of the synth. WaveOSC also includes a handy 'D-Mode' that preserves CPU when activated, so you can retain precious CPU resources and run more instances of WaveOSC in your session.
