KAGAMINE RIN/LEN NT is a next-generation vocal synthesis software powered by a brand-new singing voice engine, delivering richly expressive performances. Both Rin and Len each feature two distinct voice libraries — Original+ (a bright, energetic voice) and Whisper+ (a breathy, nuanced tone) — for a total of four libraries, all finely tuned to work seamlessly with the advanced features of Piapro Studio NT2. The software also includes the "Automatic Control" feature, allowing you to easily adjust vocal nuances to match your artistic vision. Pitch movements can be customized anywhere from natural and dynamic to highly mechanical. With the "Voice Color" feature, you can set tone and dynamics for each phoneme, enabling a wide variety of singing styles. Furthermore, combining voice effectors such as "Vocal Morphing", "Voice Drive", "Voice Voltage", and "Super Formant Shifter" opens up endless creative possibilities. From Kagamine Rin and Len’s signature lively and cute singing style to wistful and melancholic tones, blended nuances that follow the flow of lyrics, robotic voices, rough or angry tones, even growls and death voices — all can be expressed with ease. This high-quality voice library is built using newly developed re-synthesis technology. Each vocal fragment is carefully adjusted by analyzing the transitions between consonants and vowels to prevent disruptions or inconsistencies in pronunciation.
In addition, each database is finely tuned with multi-sample points and phoneme adjustments, allowing you to freely configure "Voice Color" to express nuances such as vocal intensity and softness according to your preferences.

Evolutionary vocal editor with rich expression.

The evolved "Piapro Studio NT2" is available in two versions—plugin (VST3, Audio Units) and standalone—supporting a wide range of music production styles. Once you enter a melody and lyrics, Automatic Control applies settings based on your chosen style and approach, delivering a natural singing voice. In addition, it displays editable pitch curves and waveforms graphically, enabling intuitive and straightforward operation. You can also configure various parameters and effects in real time while the software is actively generating vocals.

"Automatic Control" – A support system for achieving your preferred singing style

Automatic Control provides a 3×3 matrix for adjusting singing style and nuances. By selecting options within this matrix, multiple parameters—such as how the vocal line is delivered (type of pitch curve, vibrato depth) and tone (including dynamics controlled by Voice Color)—are automatically set. Of course, all these automatically configured parameters can be further refined in the Piapro Studio editor, allowing you to achieve your ideal vocal expression more quickly.

  • Simple: Adds straightforward pitch transitions and the traditional Hatsune Miku vocal quality.

  • Dynamic: Adds a dynamic nuance to the singing.
  • Neutral: Adds a natural, balanced singing nuance.
  • Virtual: Restrains expressive fluctuations, producing a more mechanical nuance.
• Vibrato Settings
  • Rich Vibrato: Adds a strongly noticeable vibrato.
  • Natural Vibrato: Adds a naturally occurring vibrato automatically.
  • No Vibrato: Disables vibrato completely.

A variety of sound designs are possible with the newly developed editing function/voice effector.

Vocal Morphing

• By blending two voice libraries with different vocal expressions, this feature enables more diverse tonal variations, dynamic vocal transitions over time, and richly expressive singing voices.

Voice Drive

• The effect which controls the trembling component of the voice and adjusts the strength/nuance of the voice. To express rattle and death growl voices is even possible by applying the presets.

Note Gain

• Convenient volume adjustment function that can raise or lower the volume of the voice for each note individually.

Super Formant Shifter

• This effect intelligently changes voice quality while maintaining the identity of the original voice. The effect can modulate voices to be more femine or child-like.

Direct Pitch Edit

• This function allows you to directly draw/edit the pitch curve displayed with the audio waveform on the piano roll by using the pencil tool. It enables you to express singing pitch nuances intuitively.

Voice Voltage

• This effect controls the tone and strength / weakness of voice and creates dynamic voice intonation.

Consonant Rate & Attack Speed Control

• A processing function that adjusts the length of consonants and the speed of enunciation according to each pronunciation. Has a semi-automatic function.

Breathiness

• A function to adjust the breath component. This helps add a melancholic atmosphere to the voice or modify its texture.
