Introducing VPS Avenger Version 2.0, a long-awaited evolution in the world of synthesizers. After over four years of dedicated development, Vengeance Sound is excited to unveil this powerhouse, packed with a plethora of groundbreaking features and a completely revamped GUI for an enhanced user experience. Some of the new features are for example a Spectral Granular module, a new drum loop module, ratchets for ARPs, parallel filtering, a huge pitch quantizer and ARP randomizer for modular system-like random melody generation, many new creative effects & reverbs and the list goes on... On top, you get smooth 60fps, more stability, better CPU usage, and faster loading times.

What's New in VPS Avenger 2.0?

New Sound Generator Modules

• New Spectral module (like the granular, but works on smooth FFT base for clean time-freezes without grains)
  • 7 different algorithms
  • Adds also a new "spectral expander": a compressor which compresses FFT frequencies
• New Single Loop module (like the Multiloop / Guitar module, but this works with any single WAV loop you feed it and automatically matches its tempo)
• New drum loop module (this expands the drumkit module with the ability to play loops, of course with zplane timestretch algorithms)

Arp

• New randomizer module for the arp (lets you randomize your arp patterns, with plenty of options and different scales!)

  • "Auto Dice" feature: creates a new random arp on every pattern end
  • Different note scales (like lydian, dorian, pent minor or asian etc)
• New ratchet feature (you can now subdivide arp notes and even set their velocity and pitch)
• You can now export the arp patterns as a midi file

• New Effect: Q4ntum (a highly complex 4x multitap delay module, with 3 automatable and time synced effect slots for each delay and 3 master effects, comes with 20 new effects, like stutter, reverse, ring mod and much more)

The Full Spectrum of Synthesis

With up to 8 OSC modules in total, VPS Avenger features many different forms of synthesis, from Classic VA Synthesis with saw, square, sine, triangle and noise oscillators, to Wavetable Synthesis with wavetables that can be morphed and edited seamlessly, to real FM synthesis where you can modulate to countless FM shapes, including your own custom designs.

Choose your own oscillator shapes by importing and converting ANY 1-cycle waveform sample into an oscillator shape, or choose from thousands of hand-selected shapes in VPS Avenger's Factory Library, including emulations of the shapes of classic gear, complex digital shapes, dubstep screams, real instruments and much more. You can even freely draw your own oscillator shapes - use a pencil or draw lines, use smoothening parameters or normalize, and fade in/outs to help create every shape imaginable.

Each of VPS Avenger's 8 oscillators can also be a Multisample player. With the new 'Sample Stacker' feature, you can layer up to 4 multi-samples in each OSC module with 1 click. VPS Avenger comes with a huge library of more than 1000 Multi-Samples, ranging from Pianos & Organs, Synths, Real Instruments, Voices and much more. There are also 2x special Sample Sources: Attack Clicks and Organic Noises, which make for great layering additions.

Each oscillator can also have its own V-Saw (Supersaw) with 1-7 voices over 1-4 octaves & pan spread, vibrato LFO, chorder, additional Sub-OSC model and synthesis model.

With every oscillator capable of working as a full granular module, you can even explore the world of granular synthesis. Load one of the many granular samples from the factory sounds into it, or drag and drop your own samples to explore the sample being played back in hundreds of small grains. Pitch, spread, reverse these grains, and play forward, backward or at whatever speed or direction you want by using the internal powerful granular envelope. In Resample mode, you can also cycle through long wave files and explore microscopic grains as an oscillator source. The Wavetable Envelope / Editor is a specialized envelope for all wavetables that includes fade ins / outs, zoom, normalize, and reverse features, as well as a 'Wobble' pattern generator which lets you multiply, reverse or flip the envelope with a pattern.

Highly flexible and complex but easy to handle - VPS Avenger offers unlimited possibilities for synthesis.

VPS Avenger comes packed with over 1000 factory presets, 620 multi-samples, 218 special samples (attacks & noises), 154 resampler waves, 168 drumkits, 168 drum sequences, 596 wavetables, 219 granular samples and thousands of oscillator shapes to get started with.

Amp & Filter Modules

For further sound sculpting, VPS Avenger offers 4 amp modules and 4 filter modules that any of the oscillators can be routed to, with each offering their own analogue AHDSR envelopes. They can also be triggered from other envelope sources, such as the modulation envelope. The filter modules offer 47 different filter types and a drive control - these include all basic filter types as well as an analogue filter, comb filter, talking/vowel filters, peak filters, FM/crush filters, TB filters & more. The amp module also features a spike parameter, volume/panning/key tracking, and a stereo spread parameter.

Quick & Complex Melodies

With up to 8 arp modules, you can build your own complex melodies of 4 x 32 notes using the 4 sub patterns and up / down / random / poly modes. Alternatively, you can get started with the ARP modules choosing from the hundreds of presets included.

Powerful Modulation & Advanced Sequencing

VPS Avenger includes up to 8 individual Modulation Envelope Modules, 8 Pitch Envelope Modules, and 4 LFO Modules, which include 17 LFO Shapes to choose from 3 freely drawable shapes. The envelopes each act as free configurable envelopes where you can add as many points as you like to shape the sound. You can sync the envelope for synchronized time-based effects to create moving and unique patterns or use one of the many trigger modes, such as first/last notes, arpeggio, or the kick drum from the drum sequencer, to name a few.

VPS Avenger includes a perfectly synced step sequencer that includes contour, decay, gate time, editable step lengths, and velocity, and can be mapped to almost any parameter within VPS Avenger, for creating exciting effects such as sidechain simulations, rhythmic gates, and dynamic filter movements.

With the dedicated built-in drum sequencer, you can program your own drum patterns up to 16 bars with ease. VPS Avenger comes packed with samples that make up more than 160 drum kits from all possible genres, with each kit holding 12 perfectly mixed and matched drum samples. Furthermore, each drum kit has its own drum sequencer pattern. You can change the kits or the pattern separately for endless combinations, or you can of course create your own kits by filling VPS Avenger with your own drum samples.

Intuitive Routing System

VPS Avenger offers powerful routing for each oscillator, allowing you to apply send FX, add new modules, and re-arrange the order in which the signal passes through the modules for each oscillator. The intuitive graphic routing help system can be activated by right-clicking on a module in the OSC routing diagram so that a cross-hair appears to show you where this module is located in the GUI.

The unique new ModMatrix system allows for drag and drop creation of ModMatrix entries - simply drag a source and drop it to any target you want on the GUI. Nearly everything with VPS Avenger can be connected and modulated, resulting in a fluid sound design ecosystem with full control over your sound.
