VA-1000

VA-1000 is a 16-voice polyphonic virtual analog synthesizer built for classic subtractive synthesis, powerful modern sound design and fast hands-on programming.

Its oscillator section combines Saw, Pulse/PWM, Sub, Noise and Ultrasaw sources, with up to nine detuned saws for massive Supersaw and Hypersaw-style textures. At seven Ultrasaw voices, VA-1000 switches to a dedicated JP-8000-style mode using the original Supersaw detune characteristics. Full-voice unison can then stack up to nine additional voices per note for exceptionally dense leads, pads and basses.

VA-1000 goes far beyond basic virtual analog synthesis with oscillator hard sync, ring modulation, cross-FM, envelope-controlled FM, selectable phase/frequency modulation, Vintage Drift and oscillator phase reset. Its 11-mode filter section covers clean, Roland, Moog, acid, Juno-6 and Juno-106 characters alongside high-pass, band-pass, peak, notch and audio-rate filter FM, with flexible drive routing and analog-inspired tone shaping.

Three ADSR envelopes, an extensive LFO, chord memory, arpeggiator, modulation-wheel control, six chorus algorithms, stereo delay, ducking reverb and OTT dynamics complete the engine — all presented on a streamlined one-page interface with no menu-diving. A bonus VA-1000 FX processor is also included, bringing much of the synth's filter, unison, Ultrasaw and effects architecture to external audio.

• Advanced Virtual Analog Oscillator Engine: Saw, Pulse with PWM, Sub, Noise and Ultrasaw sources can be combined freely, using bandlimited oscillator generation designed for clean playback across the keyboard.
• Ultrasaw Supersaw/Hypersaw: Generate 1–9 detuned saw voices from a single oscillator. Seven-voice mode uses the dedicated JP-8000 Supersaw detune characteristics, while other voice counts use symmetric Hypersaw-style spreading.
• Full-Voice Unison: Stack up to 9 complete synth voices per note with up to 700 cents of detune and adjustable center/detuned balance. Unlike Ultrasaw, unison duplicates the complete voice architecture, including oscillators and filter.
• Vintage Drift & Osc Reset: Shape oscillator behaviour from precise digital consistency to organic analog-style movement. Vintage Drift introduces progressive tuning variation, while Osc Reset provides repeatable phase-aligned attacks when required.
• Hard Sync, Ring Mod & Cross-FM: Multiple Saw, Pulse and Ultrasaw sync combinations are joined by audio-rate FM modes, Triangle-derived FM, envelope-controlled FM depth and selectable PhaseMod/FreqMod algorithms for everything from musical bell tones to aggressive metallic timbres.
• 11 Filter Models: Clean 12 dB, Roland-style 24 dB, Moog-style 24 dB, HP, BP, Peak, Notch, LP FM, Acid 24, Juno-6 and Juno-106 models. Additional controls include pre/post filter drive, parallel Drive Mix, Jupiter-style HPF, key tracking and Alpha Juno/MKS-50-inspired Alpha Bass.
• Deep Modulation & Performance: Three ADSR envelopes, 8-waveform LFO with tempo sync and fade-in/out, velocity control, 24 chord-memory types, a 14-pattern host-synced arpeggiator, portamento and dedicated MIDI modulation-wheel behaviour.

• Delay, Reverb & OTT: Switchable Ping-Pong/Stereo delay with tempo sync, tone and HP filtering; reverb with damping, ducking, input HPF and tempo-syncable pre-delay; plus integrated OTT-style multiband dynamics.
• Bonus VA-1000 FX Included: Process external synths, drums, vocals or complete mixes through VA-1000's filters, drive, Ultrasaw/unison processing, chorus, delay, reverb, tone controls, stereo width and OTT processing. Synth and FX versions also share preset compatibility for supported processing parameters.
