Three parallel engines. One unified sound.

Rumble was designed to meet the needs of contemporary bass: the weight, punch, articulation, and movement that bass-led music demands. To deliver that, Rumble’s architecture treats each frequency band as a full synthesizer engine. Body, Character, and Air each carry their own oscillator, wave-shaper, and effects, then converge through a shared filter stage, multiband compressor, and master EQ, to produce a powerful, unified voice.

The result is the first multiband synthesizer, built for bass from the ground-up. Layered sub-, mid-, and high-frequency content stays structurally separate, which means low-end weight, midrange definition, and top-end air can each be sculpted on their own terms.

The architecture itself goes deeper: vocal-formant synthesis, drone textures, percussive transients, cinematic motion, vintage analog warmth, all live within the same per-band approach.

The factory library is built by sound designers and genre-specialized producers, with a sprawling range of presets covering everything from 808s and wobbles to drones, motion sequences, and abstract textures.

Most synths give you one engine. Rumble gives you three.

An architecture engineered for complex bass sound design

Visible at a glance, deep on every layer

Rumble's interface is organized around the three-band signal flow.

The Mixer view shows the band split with crossover frequencies, per-band gain, pan, solo, mute, and an Expand control that lets a single band cover the full spectrum on its own.

The Center Panel surfaces oscillator, shaper, filter, and effect controls for whichever band is in focus, Body, Character, or Air, with tabs for instant context switching.

The Modulation Dock keeps envelopes, LFOs, MSEGs, random sources, and the matrix one click away, with drag-and-drop routing onto any modulatable parameter.

Macros (sixteen knobs across two pages) sit above the engine as the primary automation surface for DAW control. EQ and Compressor views are always accessible from the sub-header.

Every modulatable parameter accepts two modulation sources with bipolar ratio control. Connections highlight on hover, the matrix tab gives a full routing overview, and modulation depth is itself modulatable, so even the movement can move.

Per-band synthesis engine

Three bands. Three synth engines. Each band carries an independent oscillator, wave-shaper with cross-band AM injection, and an effect slot, chosen and tuned per band, then merged through a shared filter and master section. The engine was designed against the weight, punch, articulation, and motion that bass-led production demands, unlocking precision and creativity that other architectures simply can’t reach.

  • Body - Sub-bass through bass. Weight, punch, and the structural low end of a sound: home to 808s, sub kicks, and the gravitational core of a track.

  • Character - Low-mids through upper-mids. Tonal identity, presence, and harmonic richness: the recognizable middle of a sound, where its timbre lives.

  • Air - Upper-mids through treble. Shimmer, articulation, and top-end motion: where a sound gets its lift, edge, and detail.

Nine oscillator models

A bank of nine synthesis engines, each tuned for a different sonic territory:

  • Analog features a dual-oscillator design with sync, pulse-width and band-limited antialiasing
  • Morpho handles phase distortion with nonlinear shape and morph controls.
  • Phonem generates vocal formant peaks for talking and singing tones.
  • Fold brings West-coast wavefolding with a vactrol-modeled lowpass gate.
  • Timbral is a wavetable engine with 90+ tables and six phase-distortion modes.
  • Noise offers 90+ curated noise sources.
  • Sampler plays from a curated library of mono bass samples with user-import support.
  • Kick is a specialized drum synthesis engine with transient sampling and FM tone.
  • Prism runs dual-carrier, dual-modulator FM with cubic nonlinearity.

Ten wave-shaping modes with per-band AM injection

Each band has an independent wave-shaper positioned after the oscillator. Ten nonlinear transfer functions cover the territory from gentle saturation to aggressive fold and ring modulation:

  • Clipper for punch and compression
  • Sine for warm musical folding
  • Foldback and Hyperfold for dense harmonic richness
  • Rectify for fundamental doubling
  • Damped for soft saturation with built-in rolloff
  • Diode for asymmetric clipping
  • Noise for stochastic grit
  • Soft-Ring / Hard-Ring for subtle-to-aggressive ring modulation

The AM Injector routes amplitude modulation between bands, Body's signal can shape Character's level, Character can pump Air, for rhythmic interaction that lives inside a single voice.

Six filter circuits

Two filter slots with Single, Serial, and Parallel routing. The filter set spans heritage emulation and creative design:

  • Analog is a vintage-modeled lowpass circuit, warm, musical, self-oscillating
  • Variable offers eight selectable filter topologies, from classic 4-pole lowpass to complex multi-response combinations
  • Ripple adds up to seven resonant peaks around the cutoff for multi-resonant coloring
  • Swirl combines three phaser and three flanger modes inside a filter module
  • Scream Scream is a raw, aggressive vintage-style filter, extreme at high resonance
  • Formant sweeps through seven morphable vowel sequences for talking, singing, and percussive filter effects

Ten effects with feedback loop

Each band has its own effect slot that can be filled from 10 custom FX chains:

  • Cabinet morphs through impulse-modeled speaker enclosures from small combos to large stacks
  • Delay offers four algorithms across Digital, Tape, Spin, and Velvet
  • Digital layers fuzz, dispersion, chorus, frequency shifting, and sample-rate reduction for complex lo-fi
  • Neuro is a spectral transformation engine, phaser, chorus, and drive woven into one
  • Reverb offers five algorithms from algorithmic to convolution plate, spring, and bloom-style swell
  • Shifter combines pitch and frequency shifting with spectral destruction
  • Smasher focuses on transient-aware compression and saturation
  • Drift blends comb filtering and Bode frequency shifting for liquid metallic motion
  • Trasher runs a destructive distortion chain, fuzz, wave-shape, spectral shift, convolution
  • Chorus offers modulated delay with optional pitch erosion

Every effect slot includes an independent feedback loop that turns any effect into a self-resonating processor.

Modulations

Thirty-three modulation sources route to virtually any parameter, with two modulation slots per target and bipolar ratio control:

  • Sixteen Macros (two pages of eight) surface to the DAW as automatable parameters

  • MIDI sources include Velocity, Mod Wheel, Keytrack, and Pitch Bend, with graphical response mapping for Velocity and Keytrack

  • Three ADSR envelopes (VCA, Env 1, Env 2) with per-segment curve shaping and legato

  • Four LFOs with Shape, Symmetry, and Pulse Width controls, plus an LFO Mix that merges all four into a single complex source

  • Two MSEGs with up to 128 breakpoints and independent preset systems for building rhythmic patterns and complex curves

  • Three Random sources running S&H, Lorentz, or Rossler chaos modes

  • Analog Drift for slow circuit-style instability

Plus a full Modulation Matrix for routing overview and depth adjustment from a single view.

Master section

Multiband Compressor

A three-band compressor aligned with Body, Character, and Air. Eight character modes span the territory from transparent leveling to aggressive multiband compression:

  • Clean - instant, transparent compression
  • FET- inspired by fast vintage transistors compressors
  • HiFi - RMS-detected, musical
  • Opto - program-dependent release
  • OTT - upward and downward multiband, the EDM "wall" preset
  • Punch - transient-preserving
  • Radio - broadcast-style consistency
  • Sub & Click - band-specialize

Master EQ

A four-band parametric equalizer with real-time spectrum analyzer. Drag control points toadjust frequency and gain; right-click to change filter type across Low Pass, High Pass, Notch, Low Shelf, High Shelf, and Peak.
