Emma Legato is a fantastic collection of playable cinematic vocals with three articulations and a legato speed control that automatically adapts to your playing or piano roll programming. It includes cinematic reverb options and curated snapshots for quick sound customisation and is a powerful and user-friendly tool for creating rich vocal textures and melodic lines for any cinematic or ambient composition

Emma Legato has been created in response to customer demand for a true Legato sample library, but what does that mean?

‘True Legato’ is a sampling technique that allows the user to perform expressive and highly realistic parts by recording not only the single notes in the range of the musician, but also the transition between each note and every possible other... it's a huge amount of samples!

The Interface

From the main interface, you can select between Humming, Poco Vibrato, and Aahs, which feature an expressive vibrato. Then there’s SPEED…
 
If you’re playing a little faster you’ll want the transition to be a little faster too, or, if you’re playing a lush, emotional line, you’ll want the transition to be slow, with a touch of natural portamento: here’s where the SPEED control comes in.
 
Adjust SPEED to suit your music or click on AUTO and Emma Legato adjusts the speed of the transition automatically, depending on the distance between notes. The longer the distance, the slower the transition.
 
There’s also a handy keyswitch that allows you to turn AUTO mode on and off, if case you want to do adjustments on the fly in a specific passage. The EXPRESSION slider is a simple pre-effects volume control which is particularly useful if you want to have extra control in the shaping of your performance.
 
Emma Legato features a ready-to-go cinematic reverb which is great for epic sounding vocals. If you want a more cinematic or ambient sound – there’s two signals to choose from…
 
BLUE – a shimmery, very diffused ambience with a huge tail.
 
PINK – a slowly modulated reverb with some granular-like processing.
 
In addition, there’s a selection of curated snapshots to help you quickly achieve highly useable sounds.
