Botanical Synthesis

Evolve Nest Acoustics Lite is the first collaboration release in our Evolve series, created with sound designer and music maker: Nest Acoustics. Combining foley, nature, and field recordings with analogue synthesis, this sample-based instrument forms a modern “botanica” sound palette to work with. 

Under the hood, Evolve Nest Acoustics Lite contains four distinct sound layers that can be blended in real-time with the Evolve XY Pad, intuitive modulation capabilities, and four organic inspired-macro effects - Holo, Crust, Breeze, and Erode. Designed for synthwave composition and contemporary sound design, Evolve Nest Acoustics provides a hybrid of organic-synthetic textures, glowing pads, and vivid atmospheres that feel alive and textural.

Four Dimensions of Sound

The source of Evolve Nest Acoustics Lite sounds is its quad-layer engine. Each of the four layers can house either a sample-based instrument from a selection of 125 sources, or a synth oscillator.

Sampled sources give you play direction, tone and keytracking parameters to play with, while synth sources get an oscillator shape slider and unison detuning. Control the Pitch and Fine tuning, plus Velocity Sensitivity, Panning and Volume for any sound.

Click the dice of any layer to choose a sample at random or roll the dice in the header to randomise the whole plugin, including sound sources, sound parameters and effects.

Use the XY Pad in "Sounds Mode" to blend between the four sound sources or use it in "FX mode" to modulate any available parameter in the instrument.

Effects for Texture and Character

Four main macro effects have been crafted specifically to shape the output of Evolve Nest Acoustics Lite: Holo adds smeared, prism-like resonant color with the shimmer of a suspended flanger; Crust brings a dry, fluttery, crunchy top texture, like sun-baked dirt over softer earth; Breeze grows from intimate movement into long, lush tails, evoking air flowing through trees; and Erode slowly degrades pitch, frequency range, and stability into rough organic beauty.
