This plugin is a brand-new version of WA Production's flagship dynamic delay engine, firstly developed for Japanese producers but now available to everyone. As with the original Delay Rings, your sound constantly orbits around your audience, but this time with a vintage twist. Offering a sleek, minimalist pixel-art aesthetic, the real magic is in the textures that the plugin creates - all with a distinctly fizzy flavor.
They’ve fine-tuned the dual-channel engine for a crispy, bit-crushed top end reminiscent of classic 8-bit samplers and vintage gaming consoles. Add harmonics, saturation, and vintage vibes to your delay programming with ease. Whether you’re scoring a retro-styled video game, punching up EDM audio, or washing Lo-fi beats in nostalgic grit, Delay Rings 8-bit delivers instant character and a genuinely three-dimensional soundscape that pulses and dances in the stereo field.
Rings Of Power
Delay Rings 8-bit is built around two independent delay engines that pulse and move in a circular pattern through the stereo field to create mind-melting delay sequences.
Independent Controls: Set the delay Length (straight / dotted / triplet), Feedback, and Gain for each ring independently, programming exciting interwoven rhythmic patterns.
Clockwise / Counterclockwise: Control the direction of each ring's orbit for complex, swirling motion that circles your listener's headspace.
Enable/Disable: Easily audition or deactivate each ring to simplify patterns or focus the effects.
Filters: Sculpt your delay trails with dedicated High-Pass and Low-Pass filters to clean up low-end rumble or shave off brittle highs.
Modulation Madness
Delay itself is just one step on your audio’s journey, as dedicated modulation and sound-shaping effects can be dialled in to dramatically alter the character and functionality of your signal.
Modulation: Add subtle shimmer or intense warp with dedicated Depth and Rate controls for effects that drift and evolve in unexpected ways.
Reverb: Use the dedicated Dry / Wet and Time controls to launch your delay trails into infinite space, adding depth and decay.
Stereo Width: Widen or narrow the stereo placement for both the delay and reverb.
Ducker: Ensure your main signal cuts through the mix, automatically reducing the delay volume when the input signal plays, with adjustable Release settings.
Visuals & Functions
Built on vector graphics, Delay Rings 8-bit features a stylish resizable interface. For those who like to experiment, contrast different processing chains with AB comparison and copy / paste. Use the undo / redo buttons to revert any changes. The pop-free bypass is perfect for on-the-fly auditioning or controlling with DAW automation.

Registration and Activation Video

Registration
1. Click the Download button in your Plugin Boutique account or go to https://www.waproduction.com/users/login
2. Click 'Create New Account' (if you already have a W.A Production account, enter your details, log in and skip to step 5).
3. Enter your details > Choose your marketing preferences > Click 'Finish Registration'.
4. Your account has been registered > Click 'Register Plugin'.
5. On the license registration page, enter the license key from your Plugin Boutique account (which will be referred to as 'serial number' on our site) > Click 'Add'.
6. Your product will now be displayed in your W.A Production account > Scroll down to My Orders and click 'View Order'.
7. Click 'Download Files'.
8. Click 'Download'.
Mac Installation
1. Once the download is complete, extract and open the ZIP folder you just downloaded > Open the Mac folder > Double-click the CHORDS .pkg installer file.
2. Click 'Continue'.
3. Read the Software License Agreement > Click 'Continue'.
4. Click 'Agree'.
5. Click 'Install'.
6. Click 'Close'.
7. Open CHORDS in your DAW.
8. Click the information icon in the bottom left-hand corner > Enter the serial number you were given in your W.A Production account > Click 'Authorize'.
Your software is now ready to use in your DAW!
Windows Installation
1. Once the download is complete, extract and open the ZIP folder you just downloaded > Open the PC folder > Double-click the CHORDS PC installer file.
2. Click 'Next'.
3. Click 'Next'.
4. Select which plugin formats you would like to install > Click 'Next' > Click 'Install'.
5. Click 'Finish'.
6. Open CHORDS in your DAW.
7. Click the information icon in the bottom left-hand corner > Enter the serial number you were given in your W.A Production account > Click 'Authorize'.
Your software is now activated and ready to use in your DAW!
