BAE-1023 is a vintage EQ allowing for even deeper control over the mid and high-frequency range. It will add true analog punch and detail to your production no matter if you’re using it when tracking, mixing, or mastering.
Ever felt like the BAE-1073 sounded ace but didn’t offer enough control? Well, BAE 1023 is here to save the day. This authentically modeled high-grade analog EQ offers five more frequencies in the mid-range and four in the highs. The expanded mid and high-frequency settings of the EQ allow for even more versatility. The unit is especially useful when adding extra juice to distorted guitars and female vocals. It’s perfect for adding some extra air to the overheads as well.
BAE-1023’s highs are exclusively smooth and tasty. The EQ does its magic not only when used on individual instruments but on whole mixes as well. The EQ lets you use the mid bell curve directly against the low and high shelving EQs where they overlap. High frequencies can be boosted or cut in shelving mode, and the mids are EQ’d in peaking mode.
History
The hardware rack mount original behind BAE-1023 features the same hand-wired Carnhill transformers found inside its big brother BAE-1073. That’s your guarantee that 1023 will add true analog power to your work. Needless to say, we’ve managed to recreate this unit by building upon everything we’ve learned when modeling BAE-1073 and 1084. BAE-123 adds depth, punch, and width – basically, everything you get when mixing through an analog console.
