Sonic Sweep 2

Sonic Sweep 2 is a three-channel console EQ and bus processor inspired by the classic 8-bus console lineage. It combines fully parametric sweepable EQ, authentic analog modelling, and a unique parallel/serial blend engine in one plugin. Each of the three independent channel strips features dual parametric bands with variable bandwidth, dedicated shelf EQs, and a low-cut filter. Deep analog character comes from modelled input transformers, NJM4560 op-amp slew rate limiting, asymmetric console age distortion, and calibrated console noise with organic drift. A continuous Parallel-to-Serial routing blend lets you morph between parallel summing and cascaded processing for creative flexibility on drums, buses, and full mixes.

• Tri-Channel Console EQ Strip: Three independent channels, each with fully parametric Hi-Mid (500 Hz-18 kHz) and Lo-Mid (45 Hz-3 kHz) bands with continuously variable bandwidth from 3 octaves down to 1/12 octave, plus dedicated 12 kHz and 80 Hz shelf EQs and a 75 Hz 18 dB/oct Chebyshev low-cut filter.
• Authentic Analog Console Modelling: Multi-stage soft-clip amplifiers with +26 dBu headroom, NJM4560 op-amp slew rate limiting (4.0 V/μs) across EQ, fader, summing and master stages, and calibrated transformer drive deliver the natural transient softening and harmonic character of classic mixing consoles.
• Console Age & Console Noise: Dial in asymmetric distortion that simulates analog component aging (100%), and add living console hiss with authentic temperature drift, 50 Hz hum, and random organic movement for a breathing analog vibe.
• Parallel-Serial Blend Engine: Continuously morph between true parallel summing and serial (daisy-chain) processing with an equal-power trigonometric crossfade. Shared post-blend shelf filters maintain phase coherence across all routing modes.
• Selectable Oversampling (Up To 4x): Three quality modes CO (1x, zero latency), NORMAL (2x), and HIGH (4x) using Kaiser-windowed FIR anti-alias filters for pristine, alias-free saturation. Automatic latency compensation in NORMAL and HIGH modes.
• Extended Precision Controls: Switchable Gain X2 doubles boost/cut range to ±30 dB forsurgical tasks. Freq X2 doubles the frequency sweep ceiling. EQ Flip swaps EQ before or after the clipper stage for alternate tonal colours. All filters run at 64-bit double precision.
