The HA 1200 TapeSat is modeled after the original unit (Serial #0232) owned by Heritage Audio’s CEO, Peter Rodriguez. The machine was purchased at the age of 19 and has remained a primary tape recorder ever since. After experiencing the superior sound quality of a professional reel-to-reel recorder, it became clear that analog tape provided the warmth and depth found in many classic albums from past decades.
