Your new best friend
Duck 2 is the ultimate tool for sidechaining and creative volume shaping.
The powerful multi-segment envelope lets you draw a precise volume curve onto your audio. Bass clashing with your kick? Simply carve out the exact shape you need - no more fiddly track automation and compressor setups. Lock it to the beat like an LFO, or trigger it from other elements in the mix.
With Duck's rapid workflow, powerful multiband mode, and hundreds of presets to get you started, you'll never want to produce without it again.

Graphical Envelopes
Multi-segment envelopes with a choice of flexible curves make precise volume-sculpting a breeze.

Multiband Mode
Splits your signal into up to three bands, each with its own envelope, for precise tone control.

Flexible Triggering
Lock Duck to the beat, or trigger the envelope using MIDI, sidechain, or audio inputs.
Banish muddy mixes forever
Ducking, often called sidechaining, is a popular technique for clear, punchy mixes.
It involves briefly reducing (or ducking) the volume of one sound to make room for another-essential if they are competing for space in the mix. Traditionally this was achieved using a side-chained compressor, but envelope-based tools have grown in popularity in recent years due to their precision and ease of use.
Duck 2 is specifically designed around envelope-based ducking, with a time-saving interface and a range of professional features such as multiband operation. Check out the video to find out what Duck 2 can do for your mix.

Extensive Preset Library
Over 200 factory presets covering side-chaining, gating, rhythmic patterns, tremolo. envelope-shaping, and creative effects

Groups
Synchronise envelope shapes between different instances of Duck, with up to four groups

Envelope from Audio
Convert an imported audio file into an envelope shape, or extract the envelope from the audio/sidechain inputs

Beyond sidechaining
It doesn't stop at ducking either - Duck is a versatile tool with a wide range of creative uses!
Bring pads, guitars and synths to life with rhythmic gating patterns. Unsync the LFO and use it like a flexible tremolo. Trigger it from the audio input and it becomes a multiband envelope shaper-perfect for cleaning up that noisy kick tail, or fine-tuning the decay of that chord stab.
Get creative, and you'll discover a range of leftfield sound design effects. You can even trigger it from MIDI and use it like a synth's ADSR envelope, complete with velocity sensitivity.

New in Duck 2
With Duck 2, we've made this beloved tool even better. The GUI has been completely reworked and modernised, and is now freely resizable to adapt to your preferred way of working. There's a powerful new Multiband section, now featuring 3 bands with a separate envelope each, plus professional-grade linear phase filtering. The envelope editor has been dramatically enhanced with a slicker interface, advanced curve shapes, randomise, and a ton of useful new workflow features.
Duck 2 is a direct, drop-in upgrade from version 1, so your old sessions will carry on working seamlessly.

Built around you
As musicians, we understand that design matters. Powerful software shouldn't interrupt your flow.
That's why with Duck, we spent months carefully tuning the design to empower, not hinder. The freely-resizable GUI gives you resolution when you need it, compactness when you don't. The clean and responsive interface makes essential controls clear and visible, whilst advanced functions are thoughtfully tucked away to avoid crowding your view.
Workflow is further enhanced with undo and redo, copy and paste, paintbrush tools, randomise, envelope presets, flexible grid, dynamic swing, shape import from wave and sidechain, and detailed audio metering.
