Buy ReContour, get a free gift with purchase:
ReContour sits neatly between a compressor and a waveshaper. By just drawing in a compression curve, you can quickly cut off or emphasize different parts of the incoming audio and shape its tone.
You can use it like a normal compressor to carve out space for your instruments, like making those lifeless drums in your mix stand out a bit more.
Or you can push it hard to create a wide variety of distortions, like a fire-y hiss or echo-y boom. It's a really fun and intuitive way to quickly create distortions you love.
Similar to a standard compressor, you can also adjust the attack and release, or how much the effect is smoothed.
And with the plugin's automation, you can change how the compression sounds over time, by linking ADSRs, LFOs, sequencers, or envelope followers to one or more parameters.
Features
- Intuitive Compression Shaping: Shape the compression just by drawing and adjusting the curve.
- Fine-Tune: Like a compressor, you can change how long the attack and release times are. You can also drive the signal harder to change how it's compressed, and adjust how much changes are smoothed.
- Detailed Metrics: The compression graph shows exactly what ReContour is doing to the signal over time. You can hover over it during playback to get specific values, or click and hold to freeze it at a specific time.
