Two Royal Compressors

Each XT channel is a complete Royal Compressor with its own Trim, Input Control, A/B/C Model, Recovery with Hold, Saturation, Output Attenuator and Dry/Wet. Power and Solo switches let you switch either unit on and off or hear it on its own.

Dual Power

One compressor treats your whole signal the same way. Two compressors let you decide which part of the sound gets squeezed, coloured, or left alone. Pick a split mode and give each unit its own job.

Left/Right

Compress the left and right channels independently. Ideal for double-tracked guitars, stereo overheads or unbalanced stereo recordings where one side jumps out more than the other.

Mid/Side

Control the center and the sides of your mix separately. Keep the vocal, kick and bass rock-solid in the middle while the stereo ambience breathes freely, or compress the sides harder for a wider, denser image. A powerful tool for buses and mastering.

Low/High

Turn Royal Compressor into a two-band vari-mu compressor with an adjustable crossover frequency. Tame a boomy low end without dulling the top, or add valve sparkle and glue to the highs while the bass stays punchy and open.

• Under the hood beats the same heart that engineers trust on vocals, bass, guitars, drums and buses. Three circuit models (A/B/C) with different attack characters, smooth vari-mu compression and adjustable valve saturation with a random saturation algorithm take you from gentle glue to heavy, colorful pumping.

Vari-mu compression

• The simulation of the vari-mu circuits delivers warmth and pleasant compression to any kind of audio material. It‘s more than just suitable for vocals, bass, drums on both insert and bus.

• Back in the analogue days when every mix had to be achieved manually, it was necessary, to keep as few controls as possible. Royal Compressor honours this philosophy. Those few knobs have a massive impact on your sound and deliver the vintage sound and feel almost instantly.

Three circuit types

• The A/B/C Model knob offers gives you a chance to switch between three models of circuitry with a different value of the fixed attack.

Automatic gain control

• Worry about the volume no more. The AGC keeps the output signal at the same level no matter how much input gain you add to get some serious saturation. Changing colour doesn't change the output volume then.

• No iLok, no dongle, or internet access is required for activation. Our software uses license files to activate your software. You can freely use the purchased software on all your computers as long as you are the user.
