The IEM Plug-in Suite is a completely free and open-source collection of Ambisonic audio tools, developed by staff and students at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics. It includes over 20 plug-ins, covering everything from encoding and decoding to spatial processing and visualization, with support for Ambisonics up to 7th order.
Highlights include DualDelay, now revamped with DAW sync, BPM-based timing, and advanced warping options; GranularEncoder, the first Ambisonic granular synthesizer that can transform any mono or stereo signal into immersive 3D textures or particle-like sound clouds; and MultiBandCompressor, a mastering-ready processor that compresses across four frequency bands without compromising spatial imaging.
Alongside these, the suite features tools like reverb, EQ, encoders, decoders, and utilities — making it one of the most versatile free resources for spatial audio and 3D sound design.

DualDelay
The DualDelay was one of the first plug-ins in the IEM Suite. Therefore it was time for a big makeover! It has been optimized to suit the needs of composers and musicians by adding a sync-to-DAW function, a tap delay button as well as moving from milliseconds to BPM with multipliers for setting times. As the cherry on top, it doesn't only support a rotation of the signal, but also warping!
GranularEncoder
The GranularEncoder is an Ambisonic granular synthesis plug-in. That's right, it is the first Ambisonic synthesizer plug-in released in the suite! The best thing about it: you can use any mono or stereo audio signal, and turn it into an enveloping sound scene, or crush the signal into microscopic sonic particles!
MultiBandCompressor
The MultiBandCompressor is a very handy tool in your project's mastering stage! It works like a stereo multi-band compressor, however, it will make sure the spatial image is not altered! The Ambisonic input signal is split up into four bands, which can be compressed individually.

1. Download and run the installer for your operating system.
2. Open the Plugin in your DAW, no serial number required.
