The Classic Desi Groove

The Dholak-Tabla Kit puts the dholak's bouncy beat with the tabla's clean, sharp hits: the groove you hear in folk songs, wedding songs, ghazals and qawwalis.

The dholak gives the bounce: a deep low side that bends in pitch when pressed with the palm, and a bright, snappy high side. The tabla gives the detail: sharp hits, rolls and fast fills.
