Instinct

A Living Organism of Drive, Dynamics and Tone

Instinct is not just another distortion, dynamics processing,  or tone shaping audio engine.

It is a sonic monster that can create new worlds from the sound you feed it with, varying from smooth analog warmth or dynamics processing to total destruction, aggressiveness and alienation.

Buttery Smooth

Instinct can deliver results that vary from smooth saturation or mild dynamics processing, to extremely distorted and noisy breathing sounds, with wide dynamics and a very rich frequency spectrum.

A wide response transient shaper "SCULPT"

This is the modulation source that pumps the heart on Instinct. With controls overtime response and character, it can modulate many circuit parameters, achieving unique dynamics and distortion shaping. SCULPT is able to operate on auxiliary buffers as it supports an external sidechain.

VA Resonant Filters

High-quality zero-delay feedback analogue modelled drive and tone filters, with internal saturation, and self-oscillation.

Versatile signal flow

Instinct provides a lot of freedom regarding which modules are active or inactive. This creates different signal flow choices with different characters and a wide sound result palette.

Morph

Models, and model parameters can be smoothly tweaked.

With bandlimited sync interpolation. Operating at 4x or 8x oversampling for pristine sound.

Preset System

Hinder

That Vintage Lo-Fi Delay You've Been Missing

Hinder brings uniqueness and character to your tone. You can't go wrong with it.

New is not always better. That's why Inertia Sound Systems looked into something that was proven and true. Bucket Brigade Delay has stood the test of time, but since they were not limited to the confinements of its era, Inertia kicked it up a notch.

Hinder's core has been accurately modelled after BBD principles. But it comes with many useful and creative features, including sound design and versatility. It aims to be a swiss army knife when a vintage delay tone is needed.

Accurate BBD Modelling with Sound Tweaking Freedom

Hinder has been built following the BBD principle of operation. However, it exposes several of the design parameters to the user, but also adds new ones such as L/R channel delay time decoupling, width and reverse delay so that creative realms could be explored. 

Overall Tone for Brighter or Darker Sound

Inertia tried to cover as much ground as possible. You can change the overall tone of the plugin by setting the bright/dark parameter.

Separate or Linked Delay Times for Left and Right Channel

Delay times can be set up separately for Left and Right channels so that interesting/polyrhythmic patterns can be created

Stereo Width

Width control for wider delay effects.

Feedback LP / HP Analog modelled Filters

Hinder features analog modelled resonant Lowpass and Highpass filters in its feedback path, that can further shape your tone

Feedback Compression Module with Amount and Speed Controls

Hinder features a compressor module in its feedback path that in combination with feedback and heat can create sounds that vary from punchy repeats to overdriven noisy drones.

Overdrive via the HEAT Parameter

Heat adjustment that reflects the resampling, and feedback filters, can significantly tune Hinder towards a cleaner or overdriven sound character

Chorus and Flanger Effects

Hinder features delay modulation, turning it into a chorus or flanger effect, with all the creative directions that can be achieved with the aforementioned modules and tweaking parameters.

Bit Depth and Quantisation Artefact Mix Control

Hinder features controls for input signal quantization and quantization artefact mix, which is a standard BBD element. But by exposing it to the user it can be creatively employed in combination with heat and feedback compression for noisy droney delay soundscapes.

Synced to Host or Free Running

Hinder can be set up to sync to the host. Moving from sync to free will recall the previous parameter values.

Preset System

HINDER comes with many built-in presets that cover a fair ground of standard delay use for Guitars, Vocals, Drums and everything in between. But many of them also point towards a sound design point of view, them being droney, noisy or glitchy.

Granulizer 2

Granular Synthesis from the Future

Granulizer 2 is a granular synthesis software synthesizer intended for creative sound design.

It features a very versatile DSP engine that is able to deliver a wide sound palette, with sounds varying from metallic crunch and grainy fuzziness to smooth reverb-like tones, spectral widening or chaotic soundscapes.

Updated Design Language

Following the steps Inertia Sound Systems took during the INSTINCT development process, they went for a cleaner interface. While 2.1 was pretty sleek, the way the new components are designed gives us more freedom and focus solely on what's important.

This is Massive

In Inertia Sound Systems greatest update yet, this release has been in the making for over a year. It was created from the bottom up, to be used by musicians, sound designers and artists. Inertia Sound Systems want you to be as free as possible when you're in your creative zone.

Everything is Better

Inertia Sound Systems implemented a newly designed, high-quality granular engine with controls over grain size, density, speed, grain envelope shape, pitch, and timing randomization. You are now able to sync to host option for the delay time parameter and the grain speed.

The Interactive waveform viewer has zoom in/out and loop selection capabilities.

Follow the Grain

Granulizer 2 boasts a grain warping module, featuring a feedback modulation scheme, with controls for smear, smooth and depth, that provides atonal variations or perceptually acts as a second oscillator.

The Grain FX module has spectral processing per grain, manipulating grain sharpness/shape, spread, and frequency shift.

The HIVE

The HIVE section of Granulizer 2 is a high-quality diffusion delay featuring zero-delay feedback analogue modelled filters with subtle soft saturation, infinite feedback, control over diffusion amount, size, and more.

The Preset System

Granulizer 2 comes with custom-built presets, with sounds ranging from ambience, drones, glitches and synths. You can create your own from scratch or build upon the ones that already included. The possibilities are endless.

Themes

For you late night dwellers, Inertia Sound Systems felt that their default theme messed with your low light/chill vibe. So, starting with Granulizer 2.2, they included a dark theme. Moving forward, Inertia Sound Systems will support more options and maybe user styled themes, if users feel the need for it.
