Dreamtonics Instrument X is a virtual instrument platform built on the same foundation as the beloved and revolutionary Synthesizer V. There’s nothing else like it. It’s not a sample library, though it is built from purpose-built performance recordings of world-class musicians. It’s not a modeling synthesizer, though it does allow you to access and use  the deepest physical aspects of each instrument. 

Academically, Instrument X is a neural acoustics modeling platform. Rather than using sample libraries to make music, it uses instrument expansions – models built using deep neural networks and machine learning, that you install on your computer - to generate performances for your compositions. 

Every instrument expansion has a full menu of accessible techniques, specific to that instrument – you can switch your violin from arco to pizzicato to col legno, or add cup and harmon mutes to your trumpet as you execute falls and doits… requiring just 2 GB of storage.
