Deep Sampled Vol2 - Atmospheric Piano

Organic Loops brings to you volume 2 of the Deep Sampled series: Atmospheric Piano. Based on the sonic experiments of composer and sound designer Alexander Painter, Atmospheric Piano is a rich and varied selection of evocative organic textures, chimes, phrases, and percussive hits that are full of character; using a mixture of experimental techniques and lyrically played phrases and chords. 

Recorded using an 1890s Broadwood Grand Piano that was rescued from a soon-to-be-demolished hotel, Alex employed a mix of real-world effects, analogue tape manipulation, and digital resynthesis to conjure unique sounds from the characterful instrument. He often used unusual objects, including sandbags and tambourines placed on the strings to colour the sounds, as well as playing with guitar picks, chopsticks, and other things he’d found around the house.

Following on the heels of his recent Deep Sampled - Cinematic Cello pack, this compilation would suit TV & film projects as well as hip hop, drum and bass, electronica, and pop thanks to its dynamic range of tempos ranging from 80 to 160 BPM.
