A Variety of Articulations

With multiple playing techniques sampled, including finger strikes and mallet hits, you have a wide range of expressive possibilities at your fingertips. Three different tongue drums were recorded, totalling 15GB, and they have most articulations in common:

• Two types of rubber mallets
• Two finger mallet articulations

• Muted notes – muted overtones, muted main, muted other notes
• Finger nail – snap and tonal scrapes

The Tongue drums are set up in extended chromatic scale. The Overtone Steel Tongue Drum is also available as D-minor (its natural tuning) making it “Handpan” D-minor compatible.
