Enter the Korg DW-8000, a pioneering hybrid synthesizer launched in 1985. With its 16 distinctive sampled waveforms, the DW-8000 broke new ground, offering musicians an unprecedented range of sonic possibilities.

Suitcase in a Box Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
The MK 1, released in the late sixties and upgraded in the early seventies, is probably the most iconic electromechanical piano ever built. In this rendition, the voice of the instrument has been “lo-fi’d” amplifying it by 8 compact guitar combos. Why? Because the MK 1 has a double soul: it can play clean and sweet or dirty and aggressive. The aim of this rendition is to expose its rocker heart. Clean is nice, but sometimes you need to get nasty!

SH-20 Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
The Jupiter-8, Juno-106 & TB-303 - heavy-hitting synths we all know and love and that made Roland great. Less famous is the SH-2, an early mono synth from the late 70s with two oscillators and an unrefined sound. The SH-20 pack provides the opportunity to enjoy a polyphonic emulation of this lesser known synth with all its charming quirks. Entirely programmable and including 70 presets, this little gem needs a place in your collection.

Langweil 150 Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
The 80s represented the golden years for fully digital synthesizers like the Yamaha DX7. Was there a synthesis technique that never really caught on? Yes - Additive. Kurzweil bravely developed the model 150 in 1986 entirely based on this synthesis technique. Totally devoid of filters this was a futuristic machine capable of ultra-realistic acoustic sounds for its time. Our Langweil rendition packs in all its most famous presets and if you’re looking for that “alternative” sound from the 80s, this instrument is for you!

The sound of the three synthesizers can be freely blended and the flexible triple synced filter LFO can create virtually infinite aggressive and screaming variations. Packing in enough nostalgia to make greying musicians smile and fall in love 70s electronic music all over again.
Note: staying true to the hardware, the patterns were recorded and are fixed at 120/130/140 bpm.

Think electric pianos and Rhodes and Wurlitzer immediately spring to mind. But there are more…. In the 80s, Roland released the RD-1000, an electric piano generating sounds through Structured Adaptive Synthesis capable of creating authentic (for the time) acoustic pianos as well as super sweet electric pianos. SA-1000 offers all the presets included in the original instrument in addition to all its editable parameters like chorus, tremolo and equalization. An Elton John favorite that you’ll also love.

Poly-One Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
What’s the most celebrated analog poly synth? Probably the Sequential Prophet Five. But what about its single voiced brother, the Pro-One? This gorgeous mono synth has been carefully sampled and rendered as a 40 voice poly synth along with all its fundamental controls. Powerful bass, cutting edge leads, warm strings… It offers a bit of everything and couldn’t sound more analog if it tried! Whatever your musical style, you’ll want this in your sonic arsenal.

JCS Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
Junoesque Chorused Strings. The Roland Juno series of synthesizers, despite sporting just a single oscillator, earned legendary status thanks to its lush chorus effect, capable of conjuring up rich, warm string tones that sounded anything but thin. JCS is a dedicated instrument built to recreate those classic string timbres, giving users hands-on control over the main oscillator and sub-oscillator levels, filter and envelope shaping, and the spatial character of the chorus itself. JCS does just one thing, but it does it damn well!

Forever 7 Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
Iconic FM electric piano sound generator. Few sounds define digital synthesis like the DX7's electric piano presets — glassy, shimmering and instantly iconic. Forever 7 captures that magic with a curated collection of electric piano patches sourced from Yamaha's FM powerhouses: the DX7, DX7 II, SY77, FS1R, and more. But we didn't stop there - we stacked them with textured layers from 4-op synths like the TX81Z, DX21, and even the quirky SFG-05. The result? Patches that sound vintage yet fresh with plenty of harmonic depth and textural nuance. If you love FM pianos, this is your dream set.

Keyway K30 Expansion Pack (for Attracktive)
Bold hybrid synthesizer. The transition from analog to digital synthesizers marked a major turning point in music technology. Yet, nestled between these two eras, hybrid synthesizers emerged as a fascinating bridge. These instruments merged the strengths of both domains—digital oscillators reading sampled waveforms from compact ROMs, paired with the warm character of analog circuitry. A prime example is the Kawai K3, released in late 1986, one year after the debut of the Korg DW8000, recognized as the first hybrid synthesizer in history. With 32 built-in sampled waveforms, plus a 33rd waveform that users could create themselves using additive synthesis, the K3 pushed sonic boundaries and offered musicians a bold new palette of sounds.
