Instant Emotion
Experience the cinematic depth and emotional detail of orchestral strings with Bloom Ensemble Strings Lite, the first ensemble instrument in the Bloom series built specifically for classical and orchestral layers. Bloom Ensemble Strings Lite delivers inspiring, genre-ready performances and textures, capturing the expression and movement of a full string orchestra.
Built from a rich collection of basses, cellos, and violins, Bloom Ensemble Strings Lite spans rhythmic pizzicatos, abstract textures, intimate layers, and full ensemble stacks designed to elevate any production. It brings the emotional lift of strings into electronic, indie, pop, ambient, and cinematic worlds - adding tension, beauty, and depth with every note.
Inspired by forward-thinking artists and producers like Floating Points, Sigur Rós, and Jack Antonoff, alongside scoring heavyweights such as Hans Zimmer, Bloom Ensemble Strings Lite bridges modern production and orchestral storytelling. Whether you’re building delicate layers, bold hooks, or expansive soundscapes, it’s a fast, expressive route to strings that feel alive.

Sound Sources
Excite Audio’s team of professional sound designers and producers created over 75 presets, organised into 7 categories:
- Drones (DRN) - String sections playing long, sustained notes.
- Experimental (EXP) - Abstract, unique, sound design-focused presets.
- Full Ensembles (FE) - Full string ensembles with Double Bass, Cello, Viola, and Violin.
- Melodic (MLD) - Melodies built from a sample pitched in a scale across 2 octaves.
- Rhythmic (RHY) - Rhythmic string sections using staccato / spiccato / pizzicato intonations.
- Solo (SO) - Presets built from one single voice (Double Bass / Cello / Viola / Violin).
- Textures (TX) - Textural strings designed to sit in the background of a track.
How it Works
Stay in the creative flow on the Main Page - trigger individual sounds with white notes and launch phrases or tweak properties with black notes. Four powerful macros let you shape your sound, while a range of 75 presets get you moving fast.
The Main Page
In addition to high-pass and low-pass filtering, three effects await you on the main page. Modulation provides Chorus, Flanger and Vibrato effects for adding movement and character to your sounds. Reverb adds depth to sounds with characterful Plate, Hall, or Spring types and Delay provides rhythmic echoes and stereo width.

Reviews Summary
While it aims to provide a helpful overview, it may not capture every perspective or detail. We encourage you to read individual reviews to make an informed decision.
Users widely praise Bloom Ensemble Strings Lite for its lush, warm, and cinematic sound quality, as well as an intuitive interface that delivers instant inspiration for textures, ambient layers, and electronic or film scoring. While celebrated as an accessible, preset-driven tool that easily fits into a mix, several reviewers point out that it functions primarily as a phrase- and loop-based library rather than a fully playable traditional orchestral instrument, which can make it hard to adapt to pre-existing compositions. Additional criticisms mention the expected limitations of the Lite version, occasional abrupt sample cutoffs or clicks on quick note changes, and occasional high CPU usage.
