Sound you couldn't have made on purpose.

Angels turns audio into something else entirely. Feed it a vocal, a synth, a field recording — whatever you have — and it scatters the sound into dozens of grains, each one pitched, stretched, and scattered across time. What comes out is texture: living, breathing, impossible to predict.

I sold all my Eurorack, and it's been painful not having Mutable Instruments' Beads. It was such a core part of how I make music that I built something to bring that magic into my DAW, with a few ideas of my own: tempo sync that locks grains to your beat, a tape mode with wow, flutter and drive that makes everything sound like it's been sitting in a shoebox since the early 70s, 60+ scales for pitch quantization, dual reverbs — one before the granular engine, one after — and a randomization system that remembers its accidents.

• Up to 40 simultaneous grains, each with its own position, size and pitch — dial in the density for dense clouds or sparse textures
• Marbles-style Deja Vu randomness: at noon it loops, turn left for pure chaos, turn right to shuffle the sequence — the plugin remembers its happy accidents
• Randomization per parameter (position, size, pitch, texture, density) with global Spread, Bias, Deja Vu and Smoothness controls, loop lengths of 1-16 steps, and bipolar, positive or negative polarity
• Dual reverbs: Preverb smears the input before the granular engine for soft attacks and blurred transients; Postverb adds space to whatever emerges
• Tape mode: wow, flutter, drive and hiss — the wobble of an old cassette, the saturation of a worn head
• Tempo-locked grain timing synced to your DAW for rhythmic granular textures that pulse with your track
• Pitch quantization across 60+ scales in 15 categories — Western modes, Japanese scales, Indian ragas, Middle Eastern maqamat and more — with a Bloom control that opens the scale up progressively, from just the root to thirds and fifths to the full set
• Buffer lengths of 8, 16 or 32 seconds, with freeze mode to capture and hold the buffer
• Pitch range of -24 to +24 semitones; feedback from 0 to 100%
