Malfunction - circuit-bent filter
Malfunction is a circuit-bent filter plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd, NTS-1, NTS-1 mkII, NTS-3 and microKORG2. It’s a unique experimental algorithm that’s based on a low-pass filter model whose internal connections have been intentionally tampered with. This algorithm produces a very specific, rough and screaming distortion that can instantly turn even the most primitive sounds into complex, expressive and unpredictable textures full of character. The effect is built using 2× oversampling to remove unwanted harshness due to high-frequency aliasing, and an input gate envelope is also included in the plugin to prevent any static noise from constantly exciting the filter.
