Unglued built Harmonic Bass Effects to put his bass processing chain over sounds he already had. Feed it a bass or synth line and it follows the fundamental, adding a harmonic layer from H1 to H20 while its distortion crossover follows the note. Lock mode holds a fixed root when you want consistency.
Shape the input and added harmonic separately, bring in filtered noise and choose from twelve distortion shapes. Finish with hard or soft clipping and blend the result with the phase-aligned master Mix. Simple and Advanced views share the same engine, with 24 shared factory presets, four macros, linked LFOs, global FOLLOW articulation, A/B comparison and undo/redo.
Harmonic Bass Effects is an audio effect. It does not include Harmonic Bass Machine's later harmonic unison feature.
