The MORG BB 85110 delivers the open top-end, silky saturation, and surgical tone-shaping of an exceptionally rare, fully serviced vintage preamp and equalizer module. Featuring independent, stepless dual-band parametric peak filters and stepped high/low shelving bands, it captures two real hardware units down to their authentic potentiometer behaviors. The peak bands exhibit an interactive proportional-Q response—where narrowing bandwidth naturally increases gain height—combined with smooth discrete mic and line drive characteristics.
Features
- Independently Switchable Peak & Shelf Sections: Run the 2-band peak section and the 2-band shelving section separately, together, or bypassed while keeping the active preamp path.
- Continuous Parametric Peak Bands: Fully stepless Gain, Frequency (Low: 40–400 Hz, High: 0.6–6 kHz), and Q controls with authentic proportional-Q behavior.
- Frequency Multiplier (x3): Dedicated x3 frequency multiplier buttons for both low and high peak bands, extending operational range without affecting set Q or gain.
- Stepped 5-Frequency Shelving EQ: Fixed selectable bands for low shelf (33, 56, 95, 160, 270 Hz) and high shelf (3.3k, 4.7k, 6.8k, 10k, 15k Hz).
- Dual Input Stages (Mic & Line): Dedicated Mic Gain (0 to +60 dB) with continuous Trim (0 to +20 dB) alongside an independent Line Gain (-18 to +18 dB) stage.
- Dual Hardware Profiles & Stereo Spread: Switch between Module #1 and #2, or activate PAIR mode for realistic channel-to-channel component variance in stereo.
- Extended Filtering & Routing: Dedicated High-Pass (36–330 Hz) and Low-Pass (3.9k–16 kHz) filters, phase inversion (PHASE), and Full/Lite processing quality modes.
