OMEGA-50

OMEGA-50 is a six-voice polyphonic synthesizer modeled on the Roland MKS-50, the rack version of the Alpha Juno, and its sound was checked against recordings of a real MKS-50. Each voice has one oscillator with pulse, sawtooth, sub-oscillator and noise, a high-pass filter, a resonant low-pass filter and an amplifier, shaped by one envelope and one LFO, before a stereo chorus spreads the sound. The panel shows every parameter at once with a live drawing of the envelope at the top, and an FX page adds an EQ, a delay, a 13-type Multi-FX and a reverb. The original's 128 factory tones are included, from the A11 PolySynth1 starting sound to the hoover "What the" at B86, alongside 24 artist presets by The Viper and drag-and-drop loading of MKS-50 and Alpha Juno .syx tones.

Features

• Modeled on the MKS-50: Built on the voice structure of the Roland MKS-50, the rack version of the Alpha Juno, with the sound checked against recordings of a real unit.
• Classic DCO: One oscillator per voice mixes a pulse wave in three shapes, a sawtooth in five variants, a sub-oscillator with six shapes and its own level, and noise. Pulse-width modulation with its own rate, a 4' to 32' range switch, and pitch modulation from the LFO, the envelope, and aftertouch complete the section.
• High-Pass and Resonant Low-Pass Filters: A four-position high-pass filter, with a bass boost at 0, sits ahead of a resonant low-pass filter that follows the LFO, the envelope, the keyboard, and aftertouch. The Dynamics mode moves the cutoff by how hard you play, without the envelope.
• Envelope and LFO: One four-time, three-level envelope (T1–T4, L1–L3) with key follow drives the pitch, the cutoff, and the level, displayed live as you set it. The LFO adds vibrato and filter movement with a delay that fades it in after each note starts.
• Poly, Chord, and Mono Modes: Poly plays up to six voices, Mono plays one at a time, and Chord mode plays one of 16 chords from every key (from a single note to all six voices in unison). Portamento adds glide with an adjustable time.
• Stereo Chorus and FX Page: The stereo chorus spreads the voices, while the FX page adds an EQ with bass, treble, and a sweepable mid band, a tempo-syncable stereo delay, a 13-type Multi-FX (Super Chorus, Flanger, Deep and Jet Phasing, Twisting, Freeze Phase, and Distortion), and a reverb with up to 20 seconds of decay.
• 153 Presets and .syx Import: Includes the original 128 factory tones (A11–A88 and B11–B88), 24 artist presets by The Viper, and a default patch. Drag a .syx tone dump from an MKS-50 or Alpha Juno onto the envelope display to load it, or a 64-tone bank to load its first tone.
• Expressive Playing: Features velocity through Dyn envelope modes, aftertouch on vibrato, cutoff, and level, mod-wheel vibrato, separate bend ranges for Poly and Chord/Mono, and sustain pedal support on any MIDI channel.
• Modern Workflow: All 63 panel controls can be automated with full undo/redo, a resizable interface (70% to 200%), adjustable panel opacity to reveal your DAW background, a preset menu for copying/pasting between instances, and hover hints for every control.
