Tuned Percussion Tubes
Important note: This software requires the FULL version of Kontakt 5.7.3 or above and will only run in DEMO mode when used in the FREE Kontakt Player engine.
Lightweight, hollow, colour-coded, plastic tubes tuned to musical pitches by length. They produce musical tones when struck together or against nearly any surface. Used by performance artists to add an element of spectacle. Also used by educators to teach fundamental concepts in rhythm, harmony and melody.
Sampled 3 octaves of boomwhackers struck on a rubber surface, from C2 to C5. Recorded in stereo in a dry studio environment using high-end mics, preamps and converters. 5 velocity layers and 5 round robins (repetitions per note). All samples denoised and normalized to 0dB for more natural feel without intensity jumps.
Effects
The library features our advanced effect script that lets you insert any effect in any of the 8 available slots, including:
- High Quality EQ.
- Various types of compressors.
- Modulation: chorus, flanger, phaser.
- Distortion / Saturation / Tape
- Algorithmic and convolutional reverb with more than 40 custom impulse responses.
- Amp simulators.
This script boosts exponentially the sonic capabilities of the library, easy to use in a simple and elegant design.
Settings
From the settings page you can control basically any parameter you might ever need. Divided into four section you can find:
- Round robin: Boomwhackers was sampled with 5 true round-robin repetitions in order to avoid the machine-gun effect.
- Dynamic range: lets you specify the difference between the loudest and the quietest hits.
- Velocity curve: control how the library reacts to incoming midi notes.
- Players: control how much randomness there are in the hits and how much spread are the 5 players in the stereo field.
- Start offset: offset the start position of the samples.
- Envelope: change the attack and decay times of the hits.

System Requirements
Important notes:
- The Full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.7.3 or above is required to run this software.
- This software will not function in full within the FREE Kontakt Player engine and will only be available in DEMO mode.

6. Open Kontakt and navigate to the .nki file in the downloaded folder > Drag the .nki file into the right-hand window.
Your Kontakt Instrument is now installed and ready for use!
