Field recordings - the precise listening and recording of our environment - give us the opportunity to perceive our familiar everyday sounds in a new and different way and to place them in a new context.
Inspired by kitchen utensils, the noise of electrical appliances or the noise of a train ride, the idea for a new instrument and thus a new song is born. In this range, you will find sounds which are responsible for some of the creative enlightenments KLANG have experienced.
Float & Stutter
Floatation – A flowing and moving instrument, which consists of 2 different sound sources which were recorded with a field recorder. One which is a frozen minor chord and a second one, which is a deep resonating drone.
System Requirements
- The FULL version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.6.8 or higher is required.
Important Notes:
- The FULL Version of Kontakt 5.6.8+ is required in order to use this instrument.
- You will be stuck in DEMO MODE if trying to use this instrument in the FREE Kontakt Player.
Important Note: TAPED: Cassette Kalimba is used as the example.
1. Download the Kontakt Library files from within your Plugin Boutique User Account > Move the folder to a location of your choice.
2. Open Kontakt > Open the 'Files' tab and navigate to the location of your Kontakt library > Click and drag the .nki file into the empty window.
Your Kontakt instrument is now installed and ready to use.
