The Ritual: A Hybrid Live Electronic Night In a Victorian London Church
When we think of electronic music, we usually picture underground clubs, concrete warehouses, or festival tents. But on Saturday 28th of November, something completely different will come to London: a hybrid night of live/DJ electronic performances inside a Victorian church.
Brought to you by TWAN, The Ritual will take over St James Church in West Hampstead for a one-off immersive experience. Blending live hardware synths, expressive piano, a high-end sound system, and atmospheric visual design, the event promises to reimagine how electronic music can be experienced in historic spaces.
Transforming a 19th-century church into an immersive sonic space is no small feat. St James Church’s Gothic architecture and lofty nave offer acoustics that are visually and aurally striking. To make the most of the incredible space, the event will feature a custom-installed Funktion-One sound system, which will deliver heavy sub-bass alongside delicate, articulate highs without overpowering the space.
Paired with moving lights and delicate haze cutting through the central nave, The Ritual will create a multi-sensory environment where light and sound interact with the building’s historic stonework.Â

The Lineup
TWAN
At the heart of the night is Antonio Marra - also known as TWAN, an Italian-British, London-based producer, composer, and DJ. A multi-instrumentalist who began playing classical piano at just four years old, TWAN bridges two distinct musical worlds: the emotional weight and structure of classical music, and the raw, kinetic drive of electronic synthesis.
TWAN’s breakthrough arrived on the international stage when he won the prestigious Demolition XXVI contest at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), led by techno legend Dave Clarke. Judged by industry heavyweights including Joseph Capriati and Kölsch, his winning track Carry On (below) captured attention for its blend of emotional melodies, deep basslines, and intricate sound design.
For The Ritual, TWAN will perform a hybrid live set - sequencing hardware synthesisers on the fly alongside live piano - delivering a performance that lives at the intersection of rave and recital.
BEKEFI
Bringing percussive, hedonistic house that weaves New York house, acid, and electro into sets full of tension and pure euphoria, Bekefi has played Fabric, Lost Village, Village Underground, Berlin’s Renate, and Manchester’s White Hotel, with support from Honey Dijon and Maya Jane Coles.
KIIMI
Delivering hypnotic and emotionally charged club music, Kiimi's Hotflush debut Breaking My Mind won support from Jamie xx and Sasha, with BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders calling them 'the future of electronic music'. This year alone, Kiimi has played Lost Village, KOKO, Village Underground, FOLD, and Mixmag Lab with MPH.
Partners and Community Support
The Ritual is supported by PRS Foundation in partnership with Crate Brewery and Plugin Boutique, bringing together premier sound, local craft brewing, and UK music industry backing.
With capacity limited to 200 guests, the atmosphere will remain intimate and focused on the sonic experience.Â
